The Mold Remediation Process

Our Dallas-Fort Worth mold remediation process involves the following tasks.

  • Locate water and humidity problems
  • Dry and or replace all damp or wet areas by adhere to suitable drying and cleaning methods acceptable to your insurance company and state law.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) should be used to determine type of mold and extent of damage.

Cleanup Methods

Different kinds of mold cleanup methods are available. If not done properly your insurance company will NOT work with you.

  • Wet Vacuum: Vacuum cleaner that collects water is called wet vacuum. This is used to remove water from carpets and floors.
  • HEPA Vacuum: HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) vacuums are used finally after the contaminants are removed and the surface is dried.
  • Damp Wipe: Wiping and scrubbing with water and detergent removes molds. Surface should be dried immediately after cleaning. PPE should be used when changing vacuum filters. Contaminated contents of HEPA vacuum should be disposed of in sealed plastic bags.
  • Discard: Sometimes the mold contamination may be extensive and not salvageable. In such situations the contaminated materials and furnishings should be discarded after packing them in sealed bags.
  • While doing mold clean up protective gear should be worn at ALL times.
